During prolonged use, internal components of the dispensing pump-such as gears, impellers, bearings, and seals-will inevitably experience some wear; therefore, regular inspection and maintenance are required. Before operation, verify that the pump body, piping, and connections are secure and free from oil or fluid leaks, and ensure the power supply and motor are functioning correctly. Additionally, confirm that the pumped medium meets the pump's specifications; avoid pumping liquids containing large impurities directly into the unit to prevent internal component wear or clogging.
Monitor the pump's operating status during use. If abnormal noise, significant vibration, a drop in flow rate, or excessive motor temperature occurs, stop the equipment immediately for inspection. For pumps equipped with filters, regularly clean or replace the filter elements to prevent impurity buildup from impeding fluid flow. Avoid prolonged dry running (idling), as the lack of fluid lubrication and cooling can damage internal seals and moving parts.
After a period of operation, focus on inspecting components prone to wear. For instance, ensure bearings remain well-lubricated and check drive shafts and gears for signs of significant wear. Promptly replace sealing rings and mechanical seals if they show signs of aging, deformation, or leakage. For equipment subject to high usage, establish a regular maintenance schedule based on actual operating conditions to prevent major breakdowns.
