Reliable LNG Transfer for Bunkering and Loading

 

The LNG filling pump is a core piece of equipment for LNG bunkering stations, satellite stations, and liquefaction plants. It takes LNG from storage tanks and boosts it to the required pressure for delivery to bunkering guns, ship fuel tanks, or transport trailers. The pump is available in submersible or centrifugal configurations, selected based on the station capacity and delivery distance requirements.

In the submersible configuration, the motor and pump are fully immersed in the LNG, eliminating shaft seals and providing the highest level of safety for flammable cryogenic service. The motor is cooled directly by the LNG flowing through the pump. The impeller is either closed or semi-open type, precision-machined on five-axis equipment, with bearings and wear rings validated for -162°C LNG service. This design ensures long-term reliability and excellent cavitation resistance.

Flow rates range from 0.5 m³/h up to 2,500 m³/h, with heads up to 2,600 meters. The specific stage count and power configuration are selected based on station capacity, delivery flow rate, and transfer distance. The pump is compact and typically supplied with a variable frequency drive for precise flow control. Each pump undergoes 100% performance testing on our in-house cryogenic test bench, providing full performance curves and a detailed test report.

Lead time from technical approval to delivery is typically 32 weeks for custom-engineered pumps. Export packaging uses dedicated wooden crates with moisture and shock protection for international shipment. After delivery, we provide installation guidance, commissioning support, spare parts, and operator training as specified in the contract.
