Combining High Flow with High Head

The high pressure multistage centrifugal pump is the optimal choice for applications that require both the high flow rates of a centrifugal pump and the high head of a positive displacement pump. It is specifically designed for demanding cryogenic applications like long-distance pipeline boosting, high-pressure tank transfer, and vaporizer feed systems handling LNG, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, and liquid oxygen at temperatures from -196°C to -20°C.

The pump achieves its high-pressure output by using multiple impeller stages in series. Each stage, comprising an impeller and a diffuser, adds pressure incrementally to the fluid. This allows the high pressure multistage centrifugal pump to achieve heads up to 2,600 meters while maintaining robust flow rates from 0.5 m³/h up to 2,500 m³/h. The axial thrust generated is managed by balancing discs or drums, which protects the bearings and sealing system over the pump's lifespan.

All hydraulic components are precision-machined and hydraulically optimized for efficiency. The bearings and seal systems are specifically validated for cryogenic, high-pressure operation. The materials used for the pump casing and internals, such as stainless steel, copper alloys, and forged aluminum, are selected for their durability and resistance to low temperatures.

Performance Testing and Quality Assurance

 

Every pump undergoes 100% performance testing on our in-house cryogenic test bench before shipment. We generate and provide complete performance curves for flow, head, NPSH, vibration, and seal durability. We can also arrange for third-party inspections or customer witness testing to meet specific project requirements.
