High Flow and High Pressure from a Centrifugal Design

 

The centrifugal high pressure pump meets the need for high flow rates in combination with elevated discharge pressures. By using a multistage design, it delivers the high pressure typically associated with positive displacement pumps, while maintaining the smooth, continuous flow of a centrifugal pump. It is engineered for demanding applications like long-distance pipeline boosting, high-pressure transfer, and vaporizer feed systems.

This pump handles cryogenic liquids such as LNG, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, ethylene, LPG, and ethane. It achieves heads up to 2,650 meters while still maintaining flow rates from 0.5 m³/h up to 2,500 m³/h. The horizontal or vertical barrel configuration uses precision-machined hydraulics and advanced balancing drums or discs to manage axial thrust, protecting the bearings and sealing system for long-term reliability.

All wetted parts are constructed from materials validated for low-temperature service, such as stainless steel, copper alloys, and forged aluminum. This ensures resistance to embrittlement and maintains mechanical strength under high pressure. Our engineering team, which has led multiple national-level cryogenic pump research projects, applies deep expertise in high-pressure centrifugal pump design to every project.

Testing, Quality Assurance, and Delivery

 

Each centrifugal high pressure pump undergoes 100% performance testing on our in-house cryogenic test bench before it leaves the factory. We provide verified data on flow, head, NPSH, vibration, and seal performance, and can arrange for third-party inspections or customer witness testing.
