The vertical multistage centrifugal pump is engineered for applications requiring high heads and large flows, making it a strong choice for cryogenic liquid transfer in air separation units, LNG peak-shaving stations, and pipeline boosting services. Its vertical, barrel-type configuration provides a compact footprint, an important advantage for installations where floor space is limited.

This pump achieves its high head by using multiple impeller stages in series, with each stage incrementally adding pressure to the flow. This design allows the vertical multistage centrifugal pump to deliver flow rates from 0.5 m³/h up to 2,500 m³/h while generating heads up to 2,600 meters. The number of stages is customized based on your specific density and pressure requirements, providing a hydraulic solution tailored to your process.

The pump body and all flow-passing components are constructed from low-temperature materials like stainless steel, copper alloys, and forged aluminum, ensuring mechanical integrity from -196°C to -20°C. Precision-machined impellers and diffusers, paired with cryogenically validated bearings and wear rings, maintain tight clearances and high hydraulic efficiency. An integrated balancing device effectively manages residual axial thrust, ensuring long-term operational stability.

Verification Testing and Project Support

 

Each pump is subjected to 100% performance testing on our in-house cryogenic test benches, where we verify flow, head, NPSH, vibration, and seal durability. You receive complete performance curves and a detailed test report. Built in our 20,000-square-meter facility, the pump benefits from precision machining centers and multiple test stands. Our engineering team, with senior engineers and advanced degrees, has deep expertise in cryogenic fluid dynamics and multistage pump design. The lead time for a custom pump is typically 32 weeks.
